¡SOMOS PUENTES!

Interested in practicing Spanish but feel like the traditional classroom setting isn't for you? Already speak some Spanish and want to put that knowledge to good use? Looking for real conversation skills and cultural exchange? It doesn't take a trip abroad...

Bienvenidos a Puentes GW.

Welcome to Puentes GW. We are a student coalition celebrating the links between campus and community in the greater Washington D.C. area. We believe that service directly alongside the community offers priceless opportunities for learning and united growth. These experiences have the power to break linguistic, cultural and socioeconomic barriers in hopes of fostering an urban environment that is just in its diversity, while building the support and communication that lead to shared goals and friendships. Be a bridge and join with us and our campus and community partners! Email us to get started.

Interested in a more in-depth and integrated service and language experience? Take the Advanced Spanish Service Learning course this Spring 2012 with Prof. Dolores Perillán, SPAN 3040, now in its third semester. Participate in a group or individually led project over the course the semester while learning the history and literature of social justice in Spain and the Americas. Contact Profe. Perillán for more information.
